Gialos is a special part of Mykonos and is actually the first contact that a person that first arrived on the island would have. Today, the only things reminiscent of the past are the typical Panga, the open-air market set up every morning to be a favorite meeting place of the locals, and the American painter Carolina, in front of the bar-restaurant Kazarma, which is reminiscent of works.
Matoyanni is the highly commercial and perhaps the most cosmopolitan street of Mykonos. There, one can find the "Bermuda Triangle", as they usually call the small paving formed between the cafes Aroma, Cosi and the former Weggera, now high prestige jewelry store Kessaris! The streets are filled with luxury shops, which even the most famous areas of Athens would envy.

Also, there are hundreds of small white churches, mainly due to the vows of the sailors' relatives.
