Sailing on a yacht at Milos is the best vacation choice a person can make. The Greek islands are unique both for their natural beauty and for their traditional identity. Moreover, getting to know a greek island is actually getting to know history. The Aegean Sea was named after the king of Athens, Aegea, who committed suicide by falling from the rocks of Sounio, when he saw the black sails on the ship of his son, Theseus.

As far as Milos is concerned, the volcanic island with the countless and amazing beaches for all tastes, the story of its creation has reference to the lunar Saracen and is a bit complicated as it involves the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite, the god of war and Aphrodite's husband, Mars, and the handsome demon Adonis. Legend has it that when Mars discovered that Aphrodite had fallen in love and had an affair with Adonis, he killed the beautiful demigod during the hunt for a giant boar. It is said that from the blood of the handsome young man that fell on the ground, the first red roses sprouted, while from the tears of the inconsolable Aphrodite for his doom, rose the anemones. Then, Milos, a close friend of Adonis, unable to bear the loss of his friend, was hanged from a tree ending his life tragically. His wife, Pelia, shocked by the double loss, followed in his footsteps and hanged herself. The child that the couple had acquired, named Milos from his father, was taken over by the goddess Aphrodite and sent to Delos, the place of origin of his father.
