Kimolos is ideal for those who want a quiet vacation with local color and wonderful seas. Explore island and surroundings by private yachting. Here the Cycladic charm meets the sense of village and the suburban atmosphere. The main castle of the island, Mesa Kastro, is now in ruins. Exo Kastro consists of a series of houses, the outer wall of which was at the same time the wall of the defensive castle when it was in use. Many houses in Kimolos are infrared with coats of arms and dates. Also, there used to be a narrow perimeter road between the two rows of houses. Exo Kastro has two gates: the

Lower Gate on the south, and the Upper Gate on the east side, next to which today one can find the Folklore and Naval Museum. There is only one entrance to Mesa Kastro today. The other, "Stiadi", has been destroyed. The Folklore - Naval Museum of Kimolos is located in a traditional castle that can be seen in "Pano Porta". There, the visitor can find special places which have been especially formed , such as one of the farmer, the carpenter, the shoemaker, the tailor, etc. The Archaeological Museum, is a fantastic sightseeing that anyone visiting Kimolos should see, which is located in the village, opposite the Metropolitan Church of Panagia Odigitria. It is housed in a traditional house, which is one of the oldest in the village.
